WELL DONE MURRAY! We had to get our priorities right this morning. Tennis, then eating. We watched Murray drop-shot his way to victory - however it was now verging on 1pm and we hadn't eaten anything but a granola bar so it had to be somewhere quick and local. The restaurant in our hotel stopped serving breakfast at 9 (disappointing) but we found somewhere just down the road that served breakfast until 3pm.
West End Cafe was very smart and clean on the inside. The Menu seemed quite good for an all day breakfast cafe so we were excited. Anthony ordered the southern omelette, a hammy, sausagey, bacony, peppery, eggy concoction that seemed great for a hungry morning. ($7) He was right. There was so much meat, he definitely got his 7 bucks worth. It seemed really creamy too as there was a layer of cheesy goodness inside. With buttery toast on the side, he was in heaven.
Maria, wanting something a bit planer and healthier, went for toast with jelly (jam for us brits) and a fresh fruit cup. ($4.5) Although her fruit was fine, as you would expect, her toast was more like warm bread, what we would call anemic toast. The marmalade was quite nice though.
