At around 11 am, when we were kind of awake, our gracious host told us that it was time to go for brunch. This place was just around the corner, which was good considering it was already about 31 degrees by now. We were excited, if there was anything we liked more that breakfast, it was brunch.
Maria ordered the healthy choice of greek yogurt (with berries) and oatmeal with fresh fruit. ($15) She was surprised that 'with berries' meant just two, but she still thought it tasted quite fresh although she had to wait a while for them to 'prepare' her fruit.
Anthony had Mushrooms on toast with two fried eggs ($13). Again 'with toast' was just one not two slices, which was definitely not enough, and by the time it got to him, the toast had soaked up a lot of the sauce and so was more like soggy tough bread. (I would have served it on the side) The mushrooms were nice though and the eggs well cooked, the sauce was a little rich.
We decided as a table to explore the 'bucket of bacon' ($7). This was slightly crispy, oily bacon with little crispy bits of onion at the bottom. Not bad but not a buckets worth!
