While we were hanging around waiting to go to the Ryman Auditorium we were looking for somewhere to cool down and grab a snack. One of our helpful concierge told us about Merchants being a nice place. So we went there.
We were not sure if we wanted grub or not so started with a drink. Anthony went for a coke float ($5), something he hasn't had for years. It had creamy vanilla ice cream and very fresh whipped cream on top. It tasted really good.
We decided we wanted food, and so went ahead an ordered a house salad ($6) and, since we have never had them, tater tots. ($7)
Maria's salad was very lemon but had an interesting variety of lettuce leaves. Anthony's tater tots were great. They were fried in duck fat and came with three sauces, tomato, spicy mayonnaise and bernaise. The tomato was not needed as the other two were great.
