Huxtaburger - Melbourne Central

FINALLY! After what feels like an age, Anthony gets to eat a hamburger. We select the new outlet of Huxtaburger for his fix. Just round the back of Flinders Street station, it was nearly impossible to find, but thanks to GPS, Anthony reached his destination.

We walked in while they were busy, but we had no idea how busy they were going to get. The chef's had a system set up to deal with every order, but when the queue was out the door, up the street and round the corner, full of businessmen and women on their lunch break, we feared for the worse but expected great things. We luckily ordered before they arrived, handed over our cash and name and waited patiently for our meal.

When the burgers arrived we were a little disappointed. Maria ordered the Huxtaburger ($8.5) beef patty  mustard, mayo, tomato sauce, tomato, cheese, lettuce, pickles. Anthony ordered the Theo, ($12) as above but with double patties and double cheese, but
they were more like the size of a McDonalds burger than the usual mosters we have been getting. They tasted good, but not quite what we were expecting. At least the lettuce was crisp. The Chipotle Fries are definitely to be avoided, over flavoured and underdone.
