Fuddruckers Dubai

The only other burger we have tried in Dubai is at Burger Fuel, so when we found ourselves with a few hours before our connecting flight, and the knowledge that Dubai Festival City Mall is a short bus ride away from the airport, we ended up having a burger at Fuddruckers for lunch.

We decided to sit outside of the extremely empty restaurent. They sat us down and handed us massive menus. We decided on the Southwest Burger (around £8) for both of us. Maria had a side of chips, Anthony had potato wedges and we ordered some onion rings (Anthony's favourite) as well. The burger arrived pretty quickly, however we wouldn't have minded if they had taken a little longer over the presentation. Maria had just over 40 chips (yes, we were able to count them) and they were just spread over the plate. If they were in a small bowl, or even a pile, we might not have been able to count them so easily. There were also salads and sauces available, however these were inside. So you had to take your plate, try and push the door open (it was hot, obviously, and they had the door closed for the air con) then hold your plate with one hand while trying to spoon some (very acidy, possibly off) coleslaw on the side.

The Burgers did look, and taste pretty good though. A thick patty, slices of (beef) bacon, guacamole and sour cream. The wedges were not bad but the star were the onion rings. The combination for crispy batter and fresh oil made them extremely yummy.
