Over the past two weeks we have spent a lot of time looking at different restaurant reviews and lots of other London based food blogs and the one place that seems to come up time and time again is Pitt Cue Co. We decided to make the most of our holiday and head over to Pitt Cue for lunch.
We had been warned about the queues so got there at 12 on the dot, by 12.10 there was a queue, which soon filled the small room upstairs and by the time we left, was outside the door! One man asked the waitress: why are people queuing? Her answer: because we serve outstanding food!
I agree! The food is without doubt worth waiting for. I ordered the pulled pork with burnt ends and mash served with half a bun and pickles. The pork was tender and fell apart on my fork. It was covered with a delicious smokey sauce and the mash potato was creamy and full of flavour.
Anthony had the sausage bun with baked beans and fell in love with the flavour of the beans and the slightly spicy sausage.
We will struggle to stay away...
