Hawksmoor

After eating at Hawksmoor Spitalfields last month, we decided one rainy day in Covent Garden to try out the Seven Dials bar for an early dinner. We knew what we wanted, A wanted the Unami Burger, which was currently the 'Third Burger' on their menu and M was going for either the Lobster Roll or the plain Hawksmoor Burger. The decision was made for her as they had no rolls for the Lobster - Burger it was.

While waiting for the burgers to arrive, we treated ourselves to some cocktails. Pina Colada for A and Marmalade Cocktail for M. Both were presented beautifully and both tasted yummy.

Finally the burgers arrived. A's Unami Burger had all those things that has that 'fifth' taste: Shitake mushrooms, parmasan, mustard. M thought it reminded her of a McDonalds burger but A enjoyed it very much.
M's burger looked and tasted fab, so juicy and you could really taste the bone marrow in the beef patty. We also both agreed that the Beef Dripping Chips were far Superior to the Triple Cooked ones. All in all it was a great meal, although M was not amused that her burger had red onion which she had asked to be removed.

Hawksmoor is a hard burger to beat! A great option for a rainy evening in Covent Garden although we preferred the atmosphere in the Shoreditch branch.
