Shaurma No1 - Fuzili

After a heavy night at I can't remember where, we decided that we were going to go and investigate a brand new market for our weekly shops. After 2 markets and no purchases we thought that it was time for lunch. We had heard a few of our friends talk about Shaurma No1 (a very small chain in Baku) so we decided to go for it.

Well; Dan, Maria and Anthony all ordered the Shaurma. Iryna, who had eaten her before ordered a chicken salad. You think this would have been our first clue. After lots of hand gestures to a waiter who continued to claim he spoke english but couldn't even get a juice order right, the food arrived.

The shaurma was wrapped in a napkin that looked more like a nappy, and the similarities didn't end there. As you bit into the slightly stale bread and hit a wall of grease and what we think was mayonaise, we also had a unpleasant surprise of chips. yup, chips. Anthony thought he was lucky as his first mouthfuls actually tasted quite good, then the chips hit him hard.

All in all, this was a relatively good hangover cure. Would we go back. No.
