Santa Maria - Ealing

As what would be a final goodbye to Ben (and his very lovely girlfriend Huishan) we decided to find what was supposed to be the best restaurant in Ealing and one of the best Pizza's in London. Seems like they were speaking the truth.

We tend not to eat out of pizza's a lot due to the fact that Anthony is starting to make better pizza's at home, thanks to the pizza stone for Christmas. However we have heard great things about this place so we had to try it. We started by asking for a table and gave them our number so they could call when it was ready. This was a great service but was also necessary due to the fact they could seat less than 30 people. In this time we sat next door at the pub with our drinks, watching the mountains of take-away's leave.
After a while we were called by the manager and was waving at him while he was on the phone to us. We were shown to a table at the back which was nice and cool. We started with a brusetta for the table. Very crispy with a fantastic topping.
We were told that a pizza between the two would be enough and they were right. What came out was double the size of the plate it was on and looked amazing. It tasted even better. Creamy cheese, spicy toppings and the most amazing dough. It was hard to finish it because we wanted every mouthful to keep going.

Ben and Huishan had a coffee, Anthony went one step further with an Espresso ice-cream. One word, Awesome! If we weren't leaving for Baku so soon we would definitely return.
